The registration works great.
But the download software from Garmin has bugs. Downloading the 2GB file even on a broadband link is a headache.
It failed multiple times at 99%. I had to try different browsers and different PC's before finally I could do it.
Garmin needs to come up with better way to deliver these updates instead of making it as one big 2GB file.
Once the update is downloaded the install on the device itself is fine.

I found the installation process to be relatively quick-and-easy, except for the download time, and did not have the complications mentioned in many of the other reviews. I do agree, however, that the instructions could be a little more detailed.

This lifetime offer for Garmin GPS maps is a good value. Once started, the download went smoothly. However, it took an extremely long time to download. Be sure you have hours to spend waiting! Maps are working well and I look forward to being able to do the next update when convenient for me.

Worth the money, but better plan on half a day to install. Slow to get it onto machine.
